A town hall meeting will be held in the main courtroom of the Pike County Courthouse, located at 120 W. Church Street, at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Alabama Sen. Bryan Taylor, R-Prattville, will be presenting a short review of the 2011 Legislative Session Results and will be taking any questions anyone may have about legislation and other state government activities.

“We’re going to talk about whatever folks want to talk about,” Taylor said.

“This is a completely open forum and everybody is invited. I will begin with a recap of the legislative session and a review of the ways we balanced the budget, made government more accountable and addressed and resolved some of the long-standing problems facing our state.”

Taylor said there is no specific “end time” and he will stay and answer as many questions as people have.

“I will go home when the last question is asked,” Taylor said. “At some point, if we’re there too late, I may have to offer to come back because I have a family to come back to and a new 6-month-old baby to come back to help my wife put down, but there is no specific ending time.”

Taylor said he is willing to do whatever it takes to make sure the people of his district have the access to ask any questions they may have concerning their state and looks forward to informing the public.
