James Wanda Elllis

James Wanda Ellis, age 91, a resident of Brundidge, passed away Monday, June 20, 2011 at his home.

Visitation for Mr. Ellis will be Wednesday, June 22, 2011 between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. at Thrash-Keahey Funeral Home in Brundidge.

Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Springfield Baptist Church with Reverend Kenneth Baggett officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.

Mr. Ellis was preceded in death by his son James Larry Ellis.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Genie Mae Fleming Ellis; daughter and son-in-law, Karen Ellis and Richard “Dicky” Carter of Birmingham; daughter-in-law, Betty Weeks of Enterprise; grandchildren, Dr Mark Ellis and Sandy of Enterprise, Scarlett and Scott Sullivan of Lizella, Georgia, Grant and Amanda Carter of McDonough, Georgia, Heath and Meggie Carter of Auburn, Kristen Carter and Randell Meadows of Auburn; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Ellis, Zachary Ellis, Mary Beth Ellis and Matthew Ellis of Enterprise, Dayne Sullivan, Eli Sullivan, Saige Sullivan and Nolan Sullivan of Lizella, Georgia and Ellis Carter of McDonough, Georgia.
