Cory Messick, age 20, a resident of Troy died Monday, June 6, 2011. Funeral services for Cory Messick will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2011 from the chapel of Skeen Funeral Home in Troy with Rev. Keith Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Mossy Grove Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation for Cory Messick will be from 9 until 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2011 at the chapel prior to the service. He was born February 27, 1991 in Montgomery, AL. Survivors include his father, Wayne Messick, Troy; mother, Lisa Henley, Decatur, AL; sister, Nicole Hall, Grady, AL; grandmothers, Joan Padilla, Pensacola, Fl; Gail Sexton, Montgomery, AL; great grandmothers, Katherine Messick and Mary Dykes both of Troy; 2 uncles, Chris Messick and Jason Padilla both of Troy; aunt, Shannon Donaldson, Pensacola, Fl; 4 great aunts; Judy Baxter, Mary Gibson and Shirley Mobley all of Troy; and Linda Singleton, Saco. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers; Charles Wayne

Messick and Ben Padilla, great grandfathers; Horace Messick and William Dykes, aunt, Billie Phipps. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Messick, Jason Padilla, Roger Baxter, Richard Baxter, Joseph Padilla and Brad Beauregard.
