Matthew Folmar Lowery

Matthew (Matt) Folmar Lowery, age 19, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, June 2, 2011.

A celebration of Matt’s life will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Saint James Methodist Church. Visitation will be held at Alabama Heritage from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday June 4.

Matt was a student at Troy University and member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.

Matt was preceded in death by his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Carl Colley (Matt and Mary Folmar) of Troy.

Matt is survived by his parents Julie Colley and David Earl Lowery Sr.; a brother, David (Davey) Earl Lowery II (Christy); a sister, Shannon Lowery Abrams (Jeff); four aunts, Annette Colley and Allen Owen III of Opelika, Cheryl and Dr. Mickey DiChiara of Troy, Helen and Kevin Long of Parkland, Fla., and Jennifer Colley Ventress of Troy; an uncle, Matt and Lori Colley of Prattville ; several nieces and nephews, Morgan, Meagan, Annsley, and Trey Lowery, and Jake and Jenna Abrams; and his cousins, Allen E. Owen IV, Matthew Colley Owen, Neal Green DiChiara, Marilee DiChiara, Michael Louis DiChiara, Mary Elizabeth Long, Julie Colley Long, Jonathan Patrick Long, Amanda Long Scruggs, Mary Vance Ventress, Suzanne Ventress. Allen Earle (Ace) Owen V, Andrew Edward Owen, Tatom Colley Owen, Emory Hope Owen, Martha (Martie Will)William DiChiara, Margeret (Maggie) Elizabeth DiChiara, Mary Michael Hussey, Bobby Rayford (Ford) Hussey, Jonathan Patrick (JP)Long II, David James Scruggs, and Taylor Scruggs.

Pallbearers will be Campbell McNab, Kendell Mason, Drew Danner, Michael DiChiara, Mason Thompkins, Tyler Grimes, Aaron Skinner, Thomas Lindsey and Taylor Keiffer.

Honorary pallbearers will be Neal DiChiara, Bobby Hussey, Allen Owen, Matthew Owen, Wesley Woolard, Brant Still, Nick Salvato, Alex Adams, Adam Johnston , Mark Cole and Blane Mason.
