Services for R.T. Bryan, 70, of Troy, who died May 14, 2011, were at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. L.C. McMillian officiatng.

Burial was in Carroll Street Cemetery under the direction of Grubbs Funeral Home.

Mr. Bryant was born March 26, 1941, as the first child to the late Sylvester and Essie Mae Bryant.

He received Christ as his personal Savior at the Antioch Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Noble.

He was united in marriage to Gloria Knight Bryant and to this union three children were born.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sylvester Bryant, mother, Essie Mae Bryant and brother, Johnny Bryant.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: a loving and devoted wife, Gloria Bryant, Troy, AL; three sons, Reginald Bryant, Troy, AL; Thomas (Deanna) Bryant and Darryl Bryant, all of Minnesota; three daughters, Stephanie Wright and Renae Bryant, both of Troy, AL; Kathy Bryant, Minnesota; “His Big Girl” Karneshia Davis, Troy, AL; sisters, Mary Helen (Albert) Copeland, Decatur, GA; Jimmy Sue Bryant, Troy, AL; Eddie Mae Hooks, Detroit, MI; Bonnie (Earnest) Covington, Louise Campbell, all of Chicago, IL; brothers, Bobby (Angela) Bryant, Upper Marlboro, MD; Larry (Hope) Bryant, Springfield, MA; a devoted father-in-law, Eldridge Knight, Sr., one aunt, Tommie Jean Parnell, Troy, AL; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
