F.C. King

Services for F.C. King, 79, who died April 23, 2011 at Troy Health and Rehab will be at 11 a.m. April 30, 2011 at Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Bandy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, April 29, 2011 from 12-5 p.m.

He was born April 27, 1931 in Troy. He was the son of L. C. King and Mae Bell Gipe. Mr. King attended Brundidge Public Schools and was employed by American Marine for 23 years and the University of New Orleans for 13 years. He was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Troy.

Survivors include his wife, Annie Ruth Baker King; brother, Jimmy and Fannie King of Troy; aunt, Nellie Jackson of Dallas, TX; cousin, James and Oriel Haynes of New Orleans; son, Willie M. and Joyce King of Slidell, LA; four daughters, Annie D. King, Deborah King (Larry), Gwendolyn King (Charles) of New Orleans and Deloris King (Grafton) of Dallas; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and several other family members; sister and brothers-in-law, Albert (Mildred), Sarah (Frank), Lorenzo (Vallanda), Jeffery (Willodean) of Alabama; Susie (Leonard), Dorthey (Tom), Michael (Sharon) of Florida; Joann McGuire of Cleveland, Ohio, Alto (Mattie) of Detroit, Michigan and many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
