Eugene Turner

Mr. Eugene Turner age 91 of Banks died Wednesday, April 20, 2011 in Troy.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 22, 2011 at 2:00 pm from the Enon Baptist Church with Reverends David Stewart, Averyt Walker and Mack Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home. There will also be a one hour lie-in-state at the church prior to the service.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years Ruby Hays Turner, his children Charles and Carolyn Turner, Jessie C. (J.C.) and Leona Turner, Truitt and Kathy Turner and Christine and Durwood Baxley, special friends Shelly and Shirley Anderson, 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Flossie Turner, brother Wiley (Myron) Turner and a sister Louise Turner (Kyle) Ingram.

Active and honorary pallbearers will be Joel Turner, Adam Turner, Greg Turner, Jonathan Turner, Jason Turner, Kevin Phillips, Clay Powell, Michael Benton, Mike Key, David Sanders and Darrell Sanders.
