Clara Mae Brown Bowen, age 90, died March 27, 2011. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2011, 2 p.m., from the Panola Baptist Church near Highland Home with the Rev. Joe Leverette officiating. Burial will follow in the Panola Cemetery with Gray Funeral Home directing. She was preceded in death by three children: Charles Frank Bowen, John Arthur Bowen and Clara Jean Hallford.

She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Ann (Bobbie) and Rex Brooks of Troy; seven grandchildren: Donna Davenport, Vickie Bowen, Jennifer Hornsby, Jeanette Johnson, Stacey Cody, Chris (Frog) LaVorgna and Richard Brooks; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister: Willie Grace Hargrove of San Antonio, Texas; and a brother, Charles Roy Brown of Knoxville, Tenn. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
