Car collides with trailer

A Daleville woman was seriously injured Monday when the car she was driving ran into the back of a tractor trailer rig.

The accident occurred at approximately 12:45 p.m. on U.S. 231 in Pike County between mile markers 178 and 179 near Brundidge, according to Trooper Kevin Cook of the Alabam State Troopers.

Sarah Razavi, 22 of Daleville, was driving her 2009 Toyota Camry when in ran into the back of the she ran into the back of the tractor trailer, which was driven by Curtis L. Elzie of Mississippi, Cook said.

Razavi was taken to Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery where she was listed in critical condition Monday afternoon.

Elzie was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

No further information was available, according to Cook.
