Teresa Adams

Services for Teresa Velia Adams will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2011, at Pike County High School Gymnasium, with Pastor Tirrell Glover officiating. Professional services will be provided by George F. Grubbs Funeral Home, Troy, Alabama.

Burial will follow at the Community Cemetery, Brundidge, Alabama, under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home, Troy.

Visitation was held on Friday, March 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at George F. Grubbs Funeral Home, Troy, Alabama.

Teresa Velia Adams was born to Mr. Sam Adams, Jr. and Mrs. Charlene Adams on February 23, 1971.

She received the Holy Ghost at an early age. She was a member of the Mt. Olive #2 Baptist Church.

She graduated from Pike County High School in 1989. She attended Troy State University. She worked for Wayne Farms in Enterprise, Alabama for twenty-three years.

She was the granddaughter of the late Sam Sr. and Eva Mae Adams and Roosevelt and Nadiene Brown.

She leaves to mourn: her parents, Sam Adams, Jr. and Charlene Adams; two sons, Dekendrick Miguel May and Dekendez Markees Flanning; a very devoted friend, Mr. Preston Flanning; two sisters, Demetrics Newsome (Calvin), and Yashana Adams of Brundidge, Alabama; three brothers, Samuel Adams, Jermaine Adams, and Damion Adams, all of Brundidge, Alabama; aunts, Brenda Russ (Leon), Annie Jean Brown, Barbara Comer, all of Panama City, Florida, Clara Wheeler, Lillie Flournoy (Willie), Eva Jones, Debbie Adams, Minnie Adams, all of Brundidge, Alabama, Alma Turner, and Dorothy Moss (Richard) of Buffalo, New York; uncles, Robert Adams (Maurene), James Otis Adams, Kilroy Adams (Lucille), all of Brundidge, Alabama, James Frank Adams of Ozark, Alabama, Dawn Terry Adams (Stephanie), L.C. Brown of Gretna, Florida, Roosevelt Brown, Jr., and Darrell Brown of Panama City, Florida; two nieces, Zantesha Adams and Alecia Adams; nephews, Zantavious Williams, Anquavious Walker, Xavier Newsome, Jermaine Adams, Jr., Samuel Adams, Jr., Zaikeilin Adams, Austin Parker; special friends, Eddie Thomas, Lanadra Caldwell, Brenda Ousley and Tiffany Ward; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
