Acie James Lowery

Acie James Lowery age 79 of Troy, AL departed this life Saturday, March 5, 2011 at his home in Wilkinstown, AL. Funeral services will be held at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Doug Knight and Rev. Ken Chancellor officiating. Burial will follow in the Hebron Church Cemetery Wilkinstown; AL. Visitation will be at Hayes Funeral Home on Monday, March 7, 2011 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Mr. Lowery was a man who loved his family, his church and his work. His family always can first with over 51 years of marriage to his wife Martha Sue. He was a lifelong member of Hebron Baptist Church serving in many areas. Mr. Lowery made his living as a sheet metal fabricator at Ft. Rucker which he enjoyed, he also raised cattle on his farm in Wilkinstown, but the most pleasure was from raising catfish (pond raised) which he was one of the first in Coffee County.

Survivors include Wife-Martha Sue Lowery of Wilkinstown, AL, Brother-Coley Lowery of Wilkinstown, AL, Brother-Charles Densby Lowery of Wilkinstown, AL, Niece-Lia Rester of Enterprise, AL, Sister-in-law-Dorothy Bowden of Wetumpka, AL, Sister-in-law-Ruthel Ward of Panama City, FL, Sister-in-law-Rachel Gibson of Austin, TX, Brother-in-law-Ron Ellis of Calvary, GA, Sister-in-law-Sarah Ellis of Wilkinstown, AL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews
