William Herman Chance

Mr. William Herman Chance of Troy passed away Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Jackson Hospital- Noland Unit in Montgomery, AL. Memorial services for Mr. William Herman Chance was held at 2:00 pm, Monday, February 28, 2011 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Dr. Chuck Blair officiating. Full Military honors were conducted by Charlie’s Angels, Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation for William Herman Chance was held Sunday, February 27, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy. Burial will be held at a later date in Hopewell Cemetery. William Herman Chance was born Friday, April 22, 1949 in Pike County, Troy, Alabama son of Ruby Cleone Senn Chance and the late William Wallace Chance.

Mr. Chance served our country in the U.S. Army and fought for our freedom in the Vietnam War. Mr. Chance was preceded in death by his father, William Wallace Chance. He is survived by his wife of 40 years: Dianne Norris Chance, Troy, AL; 2 sons and daughter-in-law: Micheal Shane Chance and Ryan Nicholas (Jennifer) Chance, all of Troy; 5 grandchildren: Nathaniel Chance, Blake Chance, Samantha Chance, Lauren Chance and Courtney Kramer all of Troy; mother: Ruby Cleone Senn Chance, Troy; sister: Jan Chance Brown, Troy; brother: Fox Clayton Chance, Troy; numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers are Jonathan Debueax, Jody Griggs, Otto Norris, Jay Brown and Julius Pittman. The family request memorials to the Hopewell Cemetery Fund.
