Mr. Walter Grier House of Brundidge passed away Tuesday, February 8, 20ll at Flowers Hospital in Dothan. He was 68. Funeral services for Walter Grier House will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2011 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Minister Billy Carter officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. He will lie in state from 12:00-1:00 p.m. one hour prior to the service. Visitation for Walter Grier House will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy. Mr. House was born July 5, 1942 in Lumpkin, GA son of the late Scovall Pete and Minnie Louise Dunnway House. He is survived by his wife: Sylvialeen McWaters House, Brundidge, AL; 2 daughters and son-in-law: Marian Teresa Bass, Brundidge, AL; Tammy Charlene (Danny) Hussey, Banks, AL; son and daughter-in-law: Wayland Kellum (Stacey) House, Shelbyville, TN; 8 grandchildren: Daniel (Shana) Hussey, Banks; Britany (Josh) Smith, Ozark; Charlie Walter (Audra) Bass, Banks; Megan Bass, Brundidge; Mackenzie House, Payton House, Ace House, and Reese House all of Shelbyville, TN; 4 great grandchildren: Conner Bass, Emily Hussey, Laila Hussey, all of Banks; and Carter Smith, Ozark; 4 brothers and spouses: Bobby House, Chattanooga, TN; Gerald (Pat) House, Ocala, FL; James Alfred (Betty) House, Slocomb, AL; Billy (Alda) House, New Mexico; sister: Louise McWaters, Brundidge, AL; brother-in-law: William Blair, Bonifay, FL; 2 sisters-in-law; Georgie House, Brundidge, AL; and Gloria House, TN; cousin and wife: Eugene (Annette) House, Seale, AL; a host of nieces and nephews, and a loving dog, Hank.
