Clif Lusk, coordinator for University Relations, says that, in terms of development, the new complex serves as an economic anchor for the City of Troy. Formally known as the Parklane Shopping Center, the renovated area, which is being renamed University Park, will include an expansion of 50,000 square feet in addition to the 40,000 square feet already renovated.

The renovations and expansion were made possible because the Troy University Foundation had purchased the area specifically for the development. CGI Group, Inc., which is an information technology and business solutions services company, leases 50,000 square feet from the Troy University Foundation. The Department of Information Technology, a university training center and Troy University’s eCampus, will utilize the remaining space.
