Florence Davis Tew

Florence Davis Tew, 87, passed away at her daughter’s home in Brundidge on Sunday, January 23, 2011.

Visitation for Mrs. Tew will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25 at her home, located at 4278 County Road 4421 (Tennille Highway) in Brundidge. Visitation will continue until 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26.

The body will lie-in-state at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Springfield Baptist Church with Reverends Chuck Blair, Ashley Faulk and Glen Raley officiating.

Interment will be in the church cemetery immediately following the service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Irish Tew, Sr., and eight brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her children, Annette and Larry Adkins, Carolyn and Ray Prestage, Evelyn and Ronnie Campbell, Shirley Tew, Iris Allen Tew, Jr. and Lee and Pamela Tew; grandchildren, Glen and Samantha Adkins, Monica Shea Adkins, Sandi Prestage, Tiffany and Tim Black, Danielle and Michael McCart, Dana and Adam Toub, Jonathan Campbell, Hannah Tew and Joe Sizemore and Caleb Tew; great-grandchildren, Cera, Alexis and Ashlyn Adkins, Ashley, Amy and Jason Black, Matthew and Peyton McCart, Makayla, Alex, Nattlie and Isabella Toub; great-great-grandchild, Dawson Perkins; sister, Irone and Earl Jacobs; brother, Hubert and Alma Davis; sisters-in-law, Jean Davis and Beatrice Davis, special niece, Phillis Cookie Graham.

Pallbearers will be Caleb Tew, Glen Adkins, Adam Toub, Joe Sizemore, Tim Black, Donnie Richards, Jimmy Davis and Jordan Faulk.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Thrash-Keahey Funeral Home of Brundidge.
