Jimmy Louis Pouncey, Jr., age 68 of Troy, died Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Baptist South in Montgomery. Funeral services for Mr. Pouncey will be Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Reverend Otis Derrah officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 30, 2010 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Green Hills Funeral Home in Troy.

Mr. Pouncey is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Louis Pouncey; mother, Hazel Beard Pouncey; wife, Geraldine Lucille Pouncey and one brother, John Pouncey. He is survived by his children, Lorrie Freeman (Dick)of Troy; Cathy Barker (Awbrey) of Goshen; Christine Chance (Tim Brown) of Troy; Kevin Welniak (Terri) of Lutz, FL; Mark Pouncey of Rome, GA; and Jim Harvey Carr of Midland City, AL. Grandchildren, Michael Kjeldahl, of West Palm Beach, FL; Amanda K. Thompson (Allen) of Starkville, MS; David Matthew Beatty (fiancé Beth Pabin) of Troy; Justin Barker (Laurie) of Calera, Spencer Cody Chance; Alexandra Chance; Taylor Lynn Welniak; Jordan Ashley Welniak; Shelby Marie Carr and Zachery Alexander Carr. Great Grandchildren, Jayden S. Reed; Ally Thompson; McKenzie Thompson; Hannah Reese Barker and Lexie Kate Barker. Sister in law, Dianne Pouncey of Tuscaloosa, AL; a special cousin, Ronnie Calhoun (Margaret) of Cullman and extended family.
