Services for Willie Lee Williams were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at Bethel AME Church, Goshen, Alabama, with Rev. Dr. Jacqueline Denson officiating.

Burial will follow at the Bethel AME Church Cemetery, Goshen, Alabama, under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home, Troy.

Visitation was held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at George F. Grubbs Funeral Home, Troy, Alabama.

The late Mr. Willie Lee Williams was born to the late Mrs. Hattie Pitts. He departed this life October 15, 2010 at 5:10 a.m. at his home.

He joined Bethel A.M.E. Church at an early age where he served faithfully until his death.

He was preceded in death by two of his children, J. W. and T. J.

He leaves to cherish his memories in the loving care of his wife, Mrs. Mattie Mae Williams of Troy, AL; eight children, Ms. Mary Pollard of Troy, AL, Mrs. Dorothy Wallace (William) of Troy, AL, Edward Williams (Norma) of Troy, AL, John David Williams (Nona) of Troy, AL, Judy Parker (Louis) of Dothan, AL, Bettye Pouncey (Claudie) of Cocoa, FL, Juney Pollard of East Chicago, IN, and Martha Marshall (Melvin) of Phenix City, AL; a devoted niece, Ms. Viola Brundidge; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
