‘In the Name of LOVE”, a community awareness program promoting health and welfare will be held Saturday at Washington Park.

The event is sponsored by Bethesda Restoration Outreach Ministries, and is intended to provide education and training on issues impacting the Pike County community, such as teen pregnancy, obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, depression, nutrition, fitness and exercise and drug abuse.

The organizers of the event are Pastors Samuel and Patricia Valentine of Bethseda Restoration Outreach Ministries, and both have prior military service.

Troy Regional Medical Center, East Central Mental Health, the Pike County Health Department. the Troy Fire Department, OCAP, the Child Advocacy Center and the Troy University Step Teams will all be participating.
