Mrs. Julia Elaine Dease. age 50, of Troy, died Monday, April 26, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Elaine Dease will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Rev. Ray Stinson officiating. Mrs. Dease will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation for Julia Elaine Dease was held from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy. She was born July, 16, 1959 in Brundidge, Al. She was a homemaker in her own home. She was preceded in death by her parents Morgan Whitehead and Doris Knotts Whitehead, 2 sisters, Patricia Norris and Helen McLaney. She is survived by a son: Tristen Howard, Troy; daughter: Misty Nelson, Troy; 2 grandchildren: Morgan and Montiel Green, Troy; and Misty’s father, Raymond Nelson, Troy; 4 brothers: Pat Whitehead, DeLand, Florida; Eddie Whitehead, Troy; Jimmy Whitehead, Montgomery; Steve Whitehead, Troy; a sister: Sheila Allen, Cottonwood, AL; and many nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Duncan, Rickey Goodwin, Charles Green, Casey Allen, Nathan Nelson and Kenny Herrington.
