A Troy man faces felony charges after he allegedly made terrorist threats during an arrest Saturday.

David J. Kubishin, 50, made some type of threat while officers were arresting him on misdemeanor warrants Saturday, said Troy Police Spokesman Sgt. Benny Scarbrough.

Kubishin’s original arrest stemmed from ongoing traffic-related complaints his neighbors made to police several times in the last few months.

“Several misdemeanor warrants were signed on him (last week),” Scarbrough said. “He was arrested Saturday and at that time he made some remarks, threats that concerned us.”

Kubishin was taken into custody around 11:50 a.m. Saturday on Elm Street. He was charged with improper mufflers, following too close and terrorist threat.

Scarbrough would not say what was said in the threat or who it was directed toward. All he would say is the threat was verbal.

Troy Police continue to investigate this alleged threat.

Kubishin has been taken to the Pike County Jail where his bond was set at $100,000.
