After spending two years as the Charles Henderson assistant football coach and head softball coach, Chad Lapp will be saying goodbye.

The coach will be headed south on U.S. highway 231, to take the football head coaching position at Carroll High School, which is also Lapp’s Alma Mater.

“I have had two very special years at Charles Henderson,” Lapp said Tuesday night.

“I have been blessed to work with such great people in such a great community – the past two years have been two of the best I have had in a long time,” he added.

Lapp will remain with CHHS until the end of the school’s softball season.

“I have always said, if I ever got a chance to coach football at my Alma Mater, I would take it,” the coach said.

“I have watched the school a lot the past couple of years. When I was there, we had a winning mentality and tradition, and that is something that I am going to look to bring back to the school and the football program.”
