Patriots fall to Knights on the road

The Pike Liberal Arts baseball came off a little break on Saturday against Macon-East, however, could not come away with a victory.

After having an early 3-2 lead, the Patriots were unable to hold off Macon-East as Knights went on to score five runs in the second and cruised to an 8-6 win.

This is just the third loss for PLAS this season, and the first in the month of March.

Ross Hixon was handed the loss, giving up eight runs, seven of which were earned.

The McLaughlin brothers, Nick and Justin, finished a combined 5-7 at the plate, with one RBI.

Sam Carroll and Logan Stewart also added RBIs for the Patriots.

PLAS will look to get back on track Monday, when the Patriots will play host to Hooper Academy at home.
