Little Miss Troy Pagaent around corner

The Kappa Delta Sorority will be sponsoring the Little Miss Troy Pageant on Saturday April 10 at 2:30 p.m.

The pageant, which will be held at the Troy Elementary School cafetorium, is a preliminary event for the Little Miss division to the coveted National Peanut Festival Pageant in Dothan this October.

To qualify to compete as a Little Miss, the child must be entering second grade for the 2010-2011 school year and she must reside within the city limits of Troy.

The winning beauty will earn the opportunity to compete at the National Peanut Festival with Kappa Delta covering the $350 entry fee.

There will be several other age categories competing at the local pageant from Baby Miss to Teen.

All division winners will participate in local ribbon cuttings, parades and other city events throughout the year.

The deadline for entry is April 3, 2010. A portion of entry fees will donated to the Johnson Center for the Arts.

A general interest meeting on the pageant will be held today at 1:00 p.m. at the Kappa Delta house on Sorority Hill.
