“I thought we played pretty well,” head coach Butch Austin said on the way back from the tournament.

“We saw some pretty good teams out there and we lost to two really good ball clubs.”

The two losses suffered were the first for the Patriots this season.

The team’s record after the tournament is 9-2.

“I thought we hit the ball well the whole time,” Austin said.

“We got some good pitching from Sam Carroll and Ross Hixon as well.

“We just have to get better in the field. We are not playing the kind of defense I like to see,” he added.

The coach continued by saying that even though the team dropped two games, he believes it will be all right.
