Services for Marie Thomas, 89, of Troy who died March 1, 2010 at Bullock County Hospital in Union Springs will be at 11 a.m. March 6, 2010 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with Elder Michael Robinson of Capital City Church of God in Christ officiating.
Burial will be in New Mt. Zion Cemetery under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home of Troy.
Visitation will be Friday, March 5, 2010 from 12:00-5:00 p.m.
She was born March 15, 1920 in Pike County.
Mrs. Thomas was a member of Youngblood Temple Church of God in Christ in Troy where she served on the usher board . Her employment back ground included housekeeping, maid, restaurants and daycare.
Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Siler and her husband, Fletcher Warren Thomas.
Survivors include two children , a devoted son, Elder Robert L. and Sarah Thomas and a caring daughter, Emma Ree Thomas Paul; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
