Services for Mary Alice Williams will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2010, at Rockwest Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Sankey, Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow at the Rockwest Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home, Troy.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2010, at George F. Grubbs Funeral Home, Troy, Alabama.
Mary Alice Williams was born the third child of Conley B. Parnell and Samantha Leola Parnell on November 23, 1942.
She received Christ under the leadership of Rev. Charlie Sankey, Jr. at Rockwest Missionary Baptist Church.
She met and married Willie Williams and to this union one son was born.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Conley B. Parnell; her mother, Samantha L. Parnell; her sisters, Connie Parnell, Yvonne Foster, Edith L. Hankins and Lucy B. Hooten; a first cousin (like a brother), Hihwatha Ethridge; sister-in-law, Joyce Williams; brother-in-law, Rosevette Williams; a niece, Carolyn Siler; two nephews, Cornelius Parnell and Jimmy Hooten; two uncles, Awatha Saulsberry and Willie Fred Hardmon; and an aunt, Lola Upshaw.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Cleophus (B.J.) Williams; one sister, Minnie L. Williams; (like a) brother, Robert Frazier; a mother- and father-in-law, Rhoda Williams and Rube Williams; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Mary Jean Burnes, Arie Williams, Carrie Lee Williams, Arabell Williams, Paul Hankins, Vernell Williams, and James Williams; an uncle, Cubie V. Frazier; seven nieces, Debbie Curtis, Deloris Tuck, Paula Brown, Mary Lois Mahone, Lucy Mae Hooten, Loretta Blair and Shirley Ann Williams; eight nephews, Donnie Parnell, Ledon Siler, Paul Howard Hankins, Vernon Hankins, Samuel Hankins, Ervin Williams, Jr., Carnell Hooten and Robert Hooten; devoted friends, Denise Davis (a special friend), Micheal Stringer (like a nephew), and Thelma J. Shepherd; a devoted great niece, Kenecha (Pooty) Avery; and a host of other relatives and devoted friends.
