Troy Police are searching for a man who robbed a local gas station Sunday night with a screwdriver.

Around 8 p.m., a white male is said to have entered the Stop & Go gas station on South Brundidge Street, pull out a screwdriver and demand the clerk open the cash register, said Troy Police Spokesman Sgt. Benny Scarbrough.

The suspect then retrieved approximately $400 in cash and left in a red vehicle, driven by an unknown subject.

Scarbrough said the vehicle was headed toward University Avenue in the direction of the Troy University campus.

The suspect is described as a 40 to 45 year old man, between 5’10 ad 5’11 in height and weighing 175 to 185 pounds. He is said to have been wearing blue jeans, a green plaid jacket, a grey hooded sweater and a black ski mask above his head.
