Coming off its largest win of the season, the Pike County Bulldogs are hoping to keep the good times going.

On Saturday night, PCHS ran all over county rival Goshen High School en route to a 32-point victory.

“The team had a good attitude at practice,” head coach William Moguel said Monday afternoon.

“Hopefully, we will be able to build off of our last couple games and play more consistent and get an Area win.”

With the win, the team improved to 4-7 on the season, however the Bulldogs have ye to win an 3A Area 4 game, but that is something that may change soon, according to Moguel.

“I feel like we are a lot better than where we were earlier this season,” the coach said. “But there is always room for improvement.”

“We have started to play pretty well but we did to keep it going and that is something I think this team has realized,” Moguel added.

The team will be on the road again tonight against Area foe, Dale County, who comes into the game with a 9-7 record but like PCHS is winless in Area play, at 0-4.

“They are a well coached team,” Moguel said about Dale County.

“They are strong and have a lot of height inside.

“We are going to have to control the ball, play tight defensively inside and keep the ball away from them as much as we can,” the coach added.
