Bonnie Mae Mathews Fleming, 90 of Phenix City, AL passed away Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Phenix City Health Care. Graveside services will be held 3:00 p.m. EST Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Rev. Charles Langford officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. EST prior to the service at Vance Memorial Chapel, Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Fleming was born August 30, 1919 in Coffee County, AL, daughter of the late Aster Lee Mathews and Annie Scarbrough Mathews. She was a Baptist by faith. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death, by her husband George W. Fleming, Jr.; one sister Vola Harbuck and one brother Hubert Mathews.
She is survived by three sons, Max S. Fleming and wife Dot of Sneads, FL, George R. Fleming and wife Linda of Phenix City, AL and Lee B. Fleming and wife Roberta of Seattle, WA; six grandchildren Jeremy Fleming (Sara), Jamie Collins (Dean), Melissa Kallman (Brad), Russell Fleming (Angela), James Fleming and Lisa Fleming; seven great-grandchildren, Spencer, Samuel, William, Cody, Bethany, Megan and Adrain.
