As the Christmas season opens, several Pike County businesses will close their doors for the holidays.

The City of Troy and the Pike County offices will be closed both Christmas Eve and Christmas day this week.

Troy will be closed also New Years Eve and New Years day.

The City of Brundidge will close at noon on Christmas Eve and also be closed Christmas day.

Brundidge and Pike County offices will not be closed New Years Eve, only New Years Day.

Trash pickup will not be impacted for residents in Brundidge. However, those in the city of Troy who have trash routes on Friday, will need to put out their garbage cans Wednesday morning.

Thursday’s trash will still be picked up as usual.

The Troy Post Office will also be open all day Christmas Eve, closing only Christmas and New Years days.
