Brundidge attorney Robert Jeffrey Davis has been interimly suspended from practicing law, pending “serious criminal charges.”

This comes after he was arrested for offenses that are alleged on Sept. 16, 2009 and faces charges of criminal trespassing second degree, burglary second degree and possession of burglary tools.

According to a letter from the Alabama State Bar, Davis voluntarily consented to an interim suspension pending the outcome of his charges.

Jeremy McIntire, with the Office of General Counsel, said Davis was arrested in Tuscaloosa, but he has no further details of the incident.

According to the Tuscaloosa District Attorney’s Office, Davis’ case is now in the grand jury process and should have an outcome later this week or early next week.

Davis is a 25-year-old white male.

However, according to Pike County Bar Association President Thad Yancey Jr., he is not a member of the Pike County Bar.

Davis could not be reached for comment.
