There have been many paths taken for the Trojans to get to where they stand today.

Many of the players come from the state of Alabama, while others have traveled from neighboring states to help make history here at Troy.

One of those paths has had several different twists and turns along the way.

Imagine, transferring from one college to another with the hopes of starting and leading a football team to greatness.

Now imagine, once you arrive, and despite your best efforts, you have to wait in line – for two seasons.

It’s not until an unexpected injury that you finally get the show what you can do on the field not only to your teammates, coaches and fans – but to a national audience as well.

Since that game, you have been breaking school records, help win two conference championships and have your team positioned for its second bowl victory and a 10th victory of the season.

This is what senior quarterback Levi Brown has had to go through during his collegiate football career.

Look at where it has gotten him.

Now, imagine where the Trojans would be had Brown not taken the paths he took.

No question about it, there are many skilled and talented players on the offensive side of the ball for Troy, however, a offense is only as good as its quarterback.

No disrespect to Jamie Hampton either.

When Hampton was behind center, he was able to move the ball downfield and added another running threat to the offensive as well.

Whether he would have been able to take Troy as far as Brown has will be one of the questions that the 2010 season will bring.

But Brown’s story is just one of many stories that have made both this season and the Trojan team itself.

Like many college teams across the country, the Trojans are built upon different individuals from different places.

But its how those different individuals work together as a unit that makes the team successful.

From top to bottom, I think it’s safe to say this Troy team is every sense of the word –a team.

The individuals have become a family and have been through both the good and the bad.

Now, they each find themselves on the same path, working for the same goal – Trojan pride.
