Mrs. Powell was born May 7, 1922 in Notasulga, AL and moved to Opelika in 1952. She was a member of Pepperell United Methodist Church. She was retired from Sewing Room of M. Snower, Corp., and was a member of East Alabama Medical Center Auxiliary.
In memory of our sweet mother Mrs. Annie Vonceal Carmack Powell who passed away November 24, 2009 we loved so and she gave so much love.
Loving and missing her the Will Owsley Powell children, Brenda (Sam) Pridgen of Opelika, Sheila Wilson of Opelika, and Janice (Larry) Blakeney of Troy; grandchildren, Keith (Carol) Pridgen, Scott (Kim) Pridgen, Karen (Greg) Stafford, Tony (Tonya) Greathouse, Randall Greathouse, Jeremy Wilson, Dr. Kelley Taylor, Julie Taylor, and Tiffany (Jason) Rash; great grandchildren, Trace, Cade, Logan, Gage, Cole, Josh, Kayla, Chelsi, Caroline, Madeline, and Danielle.
We loved her so much, but when God called she was ready. We know she has joined our Dad (Will Owsley Powell) who went before her.
Her last words to us were to love each other, not to quarrel and to live a Christian life.
She loved us to the end, so help us to draw nearer to each other and nearer to God.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to Hospice, or Pepperell United Methodist Church 200 – 26th St. N. Opelika, AL 36801.
Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home is directed.
