The win capped off an 11-1 overall record for the Patriots, who finished the season on a nine game winning streak.

“This is an amazing feeling,” senior quarterback Trey Walters said.

“It was a total team win. To win it last year was great, but to win it as a senior is awesome.”

PLAS headmistress Ceil Sikes said this win was something that was truly special.

“I couldn’t be more proud,” Sikes said about the team’s victory.

“To win it once was really special, but to win it twice is an opportunity that does not come around very often.

“The support we have received from our community has been fantastic all season long as well,” Sikes added. “It really says a lot about the team and it’s fans.”
