Rodeo fans from across the state will have the opportunity to attend a new rodeo in the county.

The Professional Cowboy’s Association will bring its rodeo to the Goshen High School equestrian arena on Nov. 20-21.

Agriscience Instructor Kelly Pritchett said the arena has been in place for a year and a half, but isn’t well known to the public.

“We mostly use it for our instructional riding we do with the students that are members of GHS REC (Rodeo and Equestrian Club),” Pritchett said.

Pritchett said Bobby Brown, owner of Don Walker Western Wear and alumni of GHS, heard about the new arena and came up with the idea to have a rodeo to help promote the arena.

“He had an idea of giving back to his community by getting the PCA to bring their rodeo her to GHS,” Pritchett said.

“All proceeds go to the Ag Academy, which will benefit not just classroom instruction, but the students’ activities in FFA and REC.”

The events will begin at 8 p.m. each night.
