Doris Daughtry Slaughter, age 86, a resident of Troy, died Friday, October 23, 2009. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 25, 2009 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Reverend Don Hatcher officiating. Interment will follow in Green Hills Memorial Park with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 25, 2009 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.
Mrs. Slaughter is survived by her 2 sons: William F. “Freddy” Daughtry and wife Ferris Ann of Troy, James Samuel “Sammy” Daughtry and wife Diane of Corinth, MS, 5 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 6 great-grandsons and 4 great-granddaughters.
Mrs. Slaughter was preceded in death by 3 husbands: Fred Daughtry, Mallory Allen and James Slaughter.
