Harris, Patrick “B” Pat Jr. of Hoover, passed away on Wednesday, October, 21, 2009, at the age of 75. Mr. Harris was a history professor at Troy State University from 1963 until 1998. He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick B. Harris, Sr. and Dorris Mitchell Harris.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Frances Pittard Harris; a son, Patrick B. Harris, III; a daughter, Barbara K. Duncan; and two grandchildren, David Duncan, Jr. and Kelly Christina Moldenhauer.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 27, 2009, from 10-11 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 11 AM, with Reverend Russell Kendrick officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.
