Tickets for the fall production of “Come Home, It’s Suppertime” at the We Piddle Around Theater in Brundidge are sold out.

Tickets went on sale Wednesday at Rue’s Antiques in Brundidge.

Rue Botts, ticket chair for the sponsoring Brundidge Historical Society, expressed appreciation to those who purchased tickets.

“We are very pleased that ‘Come Home’ continues to be popular,” Botts said.

“We just hope that those who come enjoy our original folklife play as much as we enjoy performing it. Because we are a supper theater our seating is limited and people are very understanding of that and we really appreciate that.”

Botts said there was a lot of interest from people locally and also from outside the area.

“We had a lot of ticket requests from the Birmingham, Montgomery, Dothan, Panama City and Gulf Shores areas,” she said.

“We love to have people from these places visit our theater and it’s always good to see people from home.”

“Come Home, It’s Suppertime” is Alabama’s Official Folklife Play and is entering its 16th season. The cast, crew and musicians number about 50.

All are local talents and all are volunteers.

“We have cast members as young as eight and as mature as 80-something,” Botts said.

“‘Come Home is truly a community effort and we are honored that people continue to like what we do.”

The spring production of “Come Home” will be in March/April.

The Brundidge Historical Society also sponsors the annual Peanut Butter Festival on Oct. 31, the Chili Country Christmas storytelling concert in December and the Pike Piddlers Storytelling Festival in January.
