Wilda C. Hall Tharpe, age 73, formerly of Columbus, GA died Sunday, September 27, 2009.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2009at 7:00 pm from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Dr. Chandler Malone and Reverend Wayne Williams officiating.
Entombment services will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at 2:00 pm ET in Park Hill Cemetery in Columbus, GA with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2009 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.
Mrs. Tharpe is survived by her daughters, Danita Richardson and husband Larry of Josie, Debbie Larkin and husband Jack of Columbus, GA; son, Dennis Tharpe and wife Karen of Biloxi, MS; grandchildren, Tammy Walker and husband Chris, Leigh Anne Sykes and husband Don, Jennifer Mantooth, Adam Larkin, Jackie Larkin and Jeff Richardson; great-grandchildren, Chrislyn Walker, Dylan Walker, Kaitlyn Sykes, Addison Sykes and Angelina Mantooth; sisters, Mary Joy McKnight and husband Junior, Winnie Ann Jeltsch and husband Ewald, brother, Wilbur “Sonny” L. Hall, Jr., and wife Ena; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Tharpe was preceded in death by her husband James H. Tahrpe and parents Wilbur and Lessie Hall.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staff and residents of Noble Manor.
