William Lee Register, 86, a resident of Troy Health and Rehabilitation Center, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2009.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 5:00 pm from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy, Alabama with Ministers Ronnie Missildine, Brent Missildine and Raymond Elliot officiating.
Burial will follow in Belser Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm prior to the services.
Mr. Register was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Vonell Register, his son Billy Lee Register and his daughter-in-law, Wilma Register.
He is survived by his son, David E. Register, his daughter-in-law, Gwen Register, his grandchildren, Christy Register and Candy R. Finlayson (Heath), great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Abby Berrey and Haley Finlayson, his sisters, Merle Missildine and Sara McDowell and numerous nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers will be Billy Chandler, Robert Knighten, Clinton Laird, Travis Meeks, Thad Pittman and Joe Walters.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy McCaleb, Wayne Menefee, Neil Missildine, Tommy Register, Joe Thompson, Braxton Laird, Ronnie King, Jimmy Matthews, Tom Gross and James Bennett.
