Mr. Homer Aley Jeffcoat age 92 of Ansley died Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at the Troy Health and Rehabilitation center. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 4, 2009 at 11:00 am from the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Reverends Lloyd Hodge, Shannon Moses and Malcolm Larking officiating.
Burial will follow at Wingard Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held Thursday form 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Anne and Herb Huner of Troy a son and daughter-in-law Blake and Peggy Jeffcoat of Montgomery, grandchildren Jeff Huner of Montgomery, Chris and Tracey Huner of Troy, Mike and Alisha Huner of Franklin, TN., Stuart and Lisa Jeffcoat of Atlanta, Sallye and Chris York of Shorter, Great grandchildren Seth, Cole, Jake and Isa Huner of Franklin, TN., Brock, Hannah, and Brady Huner of Troy, sisters Vara Larkin of Birmingham, and Jean and John Henry Stroud of Troy, sister-in-law Dorothy Graves of Ansley, several nieces and nephews, special caregivers Bertie Davenport, Diane Burks, Carolyn Linzey, Jane Wright, and Peggy Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Mildred Jeffcoat, his parents Tom and Betty Graves Jeffcoat, and eight Brothers and Sisters.
Active pallbearers will be Jeff Huner, Chris Huner, Mike Huner, Stuart Jeffcoat, Christopher York and James E. Jeffcoat.
