Miss Monette Richburg age 85, of Goshen died Sunday, July 26, 2009, at the Troy Health and Rehabilitation center. She was born Oct. 1, 1923. Miss Richburg retired from the State of Alabama Agriculture Department in 1986 after 42 years of service.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 28, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy, with Bros. Bobby Weeks, Chase Clower and Donald Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the William Carter Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy Directing.
Visitation was Monday, July 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.
She was preceded in death by her parents Perry and Ruth Richburg, brother and sister-in-law Rex and Esther Richburg, sister and brother-in-law Mattie and C.L. Berry, and a brother-in-law James McPhail.
She is survived by a sister Sibyl McPhail of Florala, brother and sister-in-law Bernard and Carolyn Richburg of Goshen, nieces and nephews Nancy and Steve Brown, Jamie and Michael Nobles, Cindy Freeman, Boyd and Sandra Berry, Scott and Gina Richburg and Jason Richburg, great nieces and nephews Elizabeth Nobles, Courtney Freeman, Shelby Richburg, Charles Boyd Berry, Perry Brown, Patrick Nobles, Colby Richburg and Toler Richburg, great great niece and nephew Alexandra Berry and Bryant Berry.
Active pallbearers will be Scott Richburg, Jason Richburg, Boyd Berry, Steve Brown, Michael Nobles, Perry Brown, Patrick Nobles and Charles B. Berry.
Memorials may be made to the William Carter Cemetery.
