CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. — The University of Montevallo golf teams placed four on the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Golf Team.

University of Montevallo golfers Aaron Ebert (Huron, Ohio), Britney Martin (Fishers, Indiana), Rachel Shaner (Madison, Alabama) and Tripp Cash (Troy, Alabama) led the way for the University as Montevallo was the top school in Division II with four golfers on the list.

Eight schools placed three golfers on the prestigious list just shy of Montevallo’s mark.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics.

The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 66% of the college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.

Ebert, Shaner and Cash will all return next season with a chance to repeat as members of the All-American Scholar Team.

The Falcons were the only Gulf South Conference team to be represented on the list and will join UNC-Pembroke, who had a golfer on the list, next season in the Peach Belt Conference.
