Brantley LeCroy and Tehron Stallworth combined to throw a one-hitter Friday night and the Troy Boys Tournament team eliminated Enterprise from the district tournament with a 10-0 victory.

LeCroy had a no-hitter through four innings and Stallworth allowed one hit that barely missed his glove in the sixth inning to break up the no-hit bid.

“Brantley and Tehron pitched a great game for us tonight,” Troy head coach Britt Newman said.

Pitching and defense have been the keys to success for Troy, according to Newman.

“Our defense has been great so far and that is evident by the three runs we have allowed in four games,” he said. “We still have some things we need to work on, but we will get there. The defense really has pulled us through and we have done enough with the bats to win some games.”

Troy held onto a 3-0 lead for the first three innings and pushed that lead to 8-0 in the fourth before eventually ending the game with two runs in the sixth. Troy shut Enterprise down in the bottom of the sixth for the mercy-rule shortened game.

Troy faces Dothan in a rematch tonight at 6 p.m. in the district championship game with the if necessary game at 8 p.m.
