Lorine Rainey Messick, age 81 a resident of Goshen, died Friday, June 5, 2009 in a Niceville, FL hospital. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at 10:00 am from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Reverend Mike Thomas and Reverend William Leverette officiating. Interment will follow in Green Hills Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2009 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.
Mrs. Messick is survived by her children: Kenny (Mickie) Messick of Goshen, Polly (Knut P.) Mittelbach of Enterprise, Jim (Julie) Messick of China Grove, Dollie (Tommy) Headley of Niceville, FL; grandchildren: Felicia (Eric) Williamson, Brittany (Johnny) Crawley, James, Charles, Angel and Martin King, Jim T. Messick, Julie T. (Terry) Hunt, Nikki (David) Swedberg and Misti (Joseph) Markoch; great-grandchildren: Austin “Toot” and Gus Williamson, Wesley Markoch and George Manuel Crawley; step-grandchildren: Tristan and T.J. Sessions, 2 brothers: Ralph Rainey and James Rainey.
Mrs. Messick was preceded in death by her husband Manuel Alva Messick and son Jerry Messick.
Pallbearers will be David Messick, Chris Thomas, Royce Stroud, Steve Stroud, Ken Grice and Russell Thomas.
