Funeral services for Ronnie Allen, age 52, of Troy, AL, who died Monday, May 25, 2009, in Elba, AL, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at Skeen Funeral Home
Chapel in Troy with Pastor Donald Ash officiating.
Burial will follow at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing.
He will lie in state at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m. one hour prior to the service.
Visitation for Ronnie Allen was held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy. Mr. Allen was born May 15, 1957 in Pike County, AL.
He was a carpenter in the building industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvin and Geraldine White Allen, wife, Bonnie Whitehead Allen, brother, Stevie Allen, and a grandchild Issabella Toole.
He is survived by two children: Sabrina Toole and Brittany Allen both of Eustis, Florida; two sisters: Anita Green, Troy, AL; Judy Ward, Jack, AL; sister-in-law: Dretta Allen, Jack, AL; seven grandchildren: Shayleigh Allen, Dalton Allen, Savannah Toole, D.J. Toole, Landon Toole, Brodie Odom and Robyn Edwards; nieces and nephews: Kevin Allen, Shannon Sasser, and Chris Kirkland. Pallbearers will be Josh Prescott, Billy Wayne Nelson, Ryan Leverett, Johnny Ray Whitehead, Kevin Sheets and Ray Smith.
