Idell L. Griggs
Services for Mrs. Idell L. Griggs, age 91, of Troy, AL. who died Monday, May 25, 2009 at Troy Health and Rehab in Troy, will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Rev. Tim Evans officiating.
Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Troy under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy.
Visitation for Mrs. Griggs will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, 27, 2009 at the chapel one hour prior to the funeral.
Mrs. Idell L. Griggs was born February 14, 1918 in Pike County, Alabama.
She was a homemaker in her own home.
Mrs. Griggs was preceded in death by her parents, Freeman and Della Debbie Whitehead Allen, husband, R.O. Griggs, one brother, Howard Allen and a daughter Linda Allen.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-laws: Wade and Cindy Griggs, Donnie and Kathy Griggs, Larry and Glendora Griggs, all of Troy, Al; R.O. and Renee Griggs, Montgomery, AL; two daughters and son-in-law: Carolyn Mann, Dothan, AL; Dolly and Raymond Morris, Chipley, FL; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving mother and will be missed.
