Pike County Sheriff’s Department deputies are seeking a Brundidge man, after large amounts of marijuana were found late Thursday afternoon in his home.

Sheriff Russell Thomas said a search warrant was executed for the residence of Alexander Martinez Rodgers, 22, of Brundidge, when deputies found about a half-pound of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his home.

Thomas said Rodgers allegedly fled the scene on foot, when deputies entered his home at 205 Windmill Drive in Brundidge.

Thomas said seven 10-ounce bags of marijuana and 10 smaller bags of marijuana were seized in the search.

“All were packaged for sale or distribution,” Thomas said.

Thomas said a set of digital scales was also obtained from the home.

Now, a felony warrant has been issued on Rodgers on charges of possession of marijuana first degree.

The Pike County District Attorney’s Office, Troy Police Department and Brundidge Police Department assisted with the search.
