Goshen Lady Eagles take out Zion Chapel

The Goshen Lady Eagles softball team (12-5, 2-0 AHSAA Class 2A, Area 5) hosted Zion Chapel Wednesday and sent the Lady Rebels home with a 5-3 loss.

Rachael Senn powered the win by blasting a three-run home run in the fourth inning and compiling five RBIs on the night.

“This was a big win for us because that was a tough team we faced,” GHS head coach Dee Hughes said. “It was an outstanding day for Rachael.”

Alli Warrick picked up the win on the mound for the Lady Eagles.

Goshen travels to face Zion Chapel again today. Game time is set for 4:30 p.m.

Brundidge Rotary holds golf tourney

The 2nd Annual Douglas Botts Golf Outing hosted by the Brundidge Rotary Club will take place April 18 at the Brundidge Country Club beginning at 8:30 a.m.

The tournament is a four-man scramble with 18 holes and a complimentary cart.

A light lunch will be served and soft drinks and prizes for longest drive and closest to the hole will be given.

There is a $300 prize for the first place team, $200 prize for the second place team and $100 for the third place team.

The registration fee is $75 per person.

TPRD coed softball league reg. extended

Registration for the Troy Parks and Recreation coed softball league has been extended to April 28.

Registration fee is $275 per team and for more information contact Pam Nix at 670-6070.
