Trojans, Patriots land No. 3

A second loss to the Lee Scott Warriors bumped the Pike Liberal Arts Patriots baseball team from its perch at the top of the Alabama Sports Writers Association AISA rankings, but the Charles Henderson Trojans baseball squad remained at No. 3 in the AHSAA Class 5A poll.

The Trojans (15-5) faced three Class 6A schools and an area opponent and went 3-1 in the previous week. The only blemish to the record was a loss to 6A Enterprise in Enterprise.

The No. 3 Patriots (10-2) lost to now No. 7 Lee Scott 12-10 in 11 innings Tuesday night, but took down Crenshaw Christian 7-4 Monday.
